We are Dan and Kathy Root, and we are owners of Synergy HomeCare of Rutherford County, pleased to meet you! In 2018, we relocated to Middle Tennessee to live closer to family, to raise our children, and to establish our home.

We are both professionals coming from different backgrounds. Dan has helped organizations shape their focus on employee experience as a true driver for customer experience - a transferable skill to HomeCare. With an upbringing in a small Michigan town and having lived in a handful of different states, Dan understands that home carries different meanings for different people, and that providing care for a loved one can be a challenge, especially from miles away. Kathy started her career journey as a registered nurse, and she continued her career in the accounting profession. Kathy grew up in the Philippines in a small town province where she was raised by her grandmother. She later moved to the United States to be closer to her parents. Kathy lives with a core value of family first and has experienced and recognizes the great challenges with juggling multiple priorities.
