Sun Bay Manor

Sun Bay Manor I and II are both fantastic homes. The owner and her staff are caring, patient, loving and well versed in their job specifications. We hesitated placing my mom anywhere. My brother passed away 4 years ago. Losing our dad when my brother was 11 and I was 7 years old, my brother and I promised one another we would always be together forever to share the responsibilities as mom got older. When he passed suddenly, my mom had just been diagnosed with Alzheimer's. I had such guilt and fear about placing her in a home, any home. When I met Maria and her staff I knew this was the perfect home and caregivers my mom could ever have hoped to find. Sun Bay Manor and the entire staff are angels sent from heaven. Best of all mommy is happy and doing really well. She is once again eating well, getting a daily bath w/o a fuss and has actually gained weight. At home we could not get her to eat everyday, she only wanted Boosts or Ensures, now she is enjoying having her meals prepared for her. My daughter and I have both taken some of our home made dinners and treats for the facility to share amongst the other sweet elderly ladies and then two gentle gentlemen. As I still work, I just couldn't provide the amount of care my mom wanted and needed which broke my heart. I rest easier at night knowing my only living parent/immediate family member, my dear mother is safe, happy, healthy and socializing with her peers enjoying her new beautiful home/residence.
