We are a family-owned and family-operated Seniors Helping Seniors® agency, run by my father and me, and our story is deeply personal.
I didn’t enter this work because of a business opportunity—I came to it because caregiving became my life. For over a year, I was the full-time caregiver for my wife after she lost the ability to walk and use her hands. I lived the long days, the exhaustion, the uncertainty, and the emotional weight families carry when someone they love suddenly needs help. I also learned how much dignity, patience, and consistency matter—not just for the person receiving care, but for the family trying to hold everything together.
After that chapter of my life, my passion for working with older adults began while volunteering to drive seniors to their appointments in my spare time. What started as rides to appointments turned into real relationships. I saw firsthand how powerful it is when seniors feel heard, respected, and valued—not rushed or treated like a task on a checklist.
Those experiences shape how we operate today.
At Seniors Helping Seniors® of East Wilco, we don’t believe in one-size-fits-all care. We take time to understand what matters most to you and your loved one, and we adjust as needs change. Our caregivers—many of whom are seniors themselves—bring patience, shared life experience, and genuine companionship into the home. The goal isn’t just assistance; it’s comfort, trust, and continuity.
For families, we aim to be a steady presence during an overwhelming time. For caregivers, we strive to create an environment where you are respected, supported, and appreciated for the meaningful work you do.
We are honored by the relationships we’ve built in our community and would welcome the opportunity to get to know you and your family.
