🌟Meet our owner, Peter Hjelmstad🌟
Peter Hjelmstad grew up in Littleton, Colorado, attending Arapahoe High School. After experiencing both the Columbine and 9/11 tragedies as a high school student, Peter felt called to a career of service to the nation and community. Immediately after high school, Peter enlisted in the Army as an Apache Helicopter Mechanic. After a brief deployment to Afghanistan, Peter was selected for superior performance to attend the United States Military Academy at West Point. At West Point, Peter met his wife, Megan and earned his Bachelor's Degree in Management, and chose the military specialty of healthcare administration. Peter served on active duty as a Medical Services Officer, deploying to Afghanistan and caring for wounded Soldiers in various roles including company command. Peter has since achieved the rank of Lieutenant Colonel and continues to serve as an Army healthcare operations officer in the Army Reserve.
In 2012 Peter and Megan moved back to Colorado with their three kids Marie, Erik, and Ethan (and their Great Pyrenees dog!) in order to settle down and raise the family. Peter continued to work in healthcare administration while he and Megan continued to serve in the Army Reserve. Peter worked at various healthcare systems in the area, including the VA Healthcare system, while earning his MBA and saving enough money to start a Senior Helpers Franchise.
