At Saint Catherine Hospice, we are aware that each person’s needs are unique and different and so, every plan for care is specifically individualized to meet the needs and wishes of each patient and family. Many people think that hospice care is only for patients who are in a “hospice house” or their own home. This is not true. Saint Catherine Hospice provides care to patients in Assisted Living Facilities (ALFs) and Nursing Homes as well. Assisted Living Facilities provide an intermediate level of care for people who need assistance with their daily activities but wish to remain as independent as possible for as long as they live. Care is available for people of all ages, including infants and children, and persons of any race or ethnicity.
Our primary goal at Saint Catherine Hospice is to provide service that enhances quality of life for individuals with life-limiting illness; we assist family members and other caregivers to meet the needs of seriously ill patients with confidence and assurance to achieve patient goals such as improved comfort, communication, mobility, safety, and ease of caregiving.
