River Pointe Rehab Healthcare

PLEASE DO NOT PUT YOUR LOVED ONE IN River Pointe Rehab!!! My "father in law" was 83 years old and came to this rehab facility after having a laryngectomy. I truly wish we had heeded the warning signs. He was taken to doctor appointments that we had previously cancelled, would lay in soiled linens for up to 45 minutes, his food was not properly prepared for him, he did not receive the recommended therapies for rehabilitation and so on. Upon one visit I noticed his stoma had been dislodged and I ended up putting it back in his throat. The Nurses would not even acknowledge us when we were there and we felt like we were a bother to them. We visited him every Sunday, Monday, Wednesday and Friday night, but were rarely told anything about him even though we had his power of attorney. During his 3 month stay, we never saw or spoke with a doctor even though we had power of attorney. Sadly, he passed away while at this facility. I would heavily caution anyone planning to put their loved one into River Pointe Rehab.
