Retirement Village of North Strabane

My father has been here for a year. Apparently the facility came under new ownership when he came and it has been downhill since then. There were some really good people here, but they are all gone. They are severely understaffed, some of the staff have a nasty attitude. It is dirty, I have been there for breakfast and seen food from the meals the day before on the floor of the dinning room. They lost my Dad's dentures and don’t want to replace them. My Dad's roommate was pooping all over the bathroom, when we complained we were told to pay more money and get a private room. There were feces footsteps in the carpet of his room, I was told there was no housekeeping on staff, and no one was trained on how to use the carpet cleaner.The food is terrible, actually some is not even edible. Pancakes you can’t cut, so called dumplings that were like stacked uncooked noodles! I came in last week and my father wasn’t there. I find out he was sent to the hospital two days earlier and they claim they left messages with the POA, they claim they got no message. End result my 89 year old father with dementia was alone in the hospital for 2 days! They don’t shave him and they were using his dentures tray as a soap holder. I hope these people someday have someone care for them like they have cared for these people.
