Rathbone Home

I have worked with seniors for many years, but I have never seen or visited a home like Rathbone Home. It is exactly what a home should be. The caregivers truly care about the residents. This is a mansion with history and elegance. The food is like the meals you would proudly serve in your own home. If there was a 10-star rating to give this residence, I would gladly give it. I wish I had known about this wonderful place while my Mom was alive, she would have loved it here.

Rathbone feels like home. From the moment you step in the door you can feel the difference. The location is great and the mansion is beautiful. The staff is very caring and they offer many great activities.

Rathbone Home is a wonderful place for my parents to live. They are at the perfect age to enjoy the social aspects but have security knowing someone is always there for them. The loving staff anticipates our needs and I can't thank them enough. This operation is top notch! My parents have three meals a day with two servings at lunch. The dining room is smaller than others I have seen, but you can't beat the character of eating in one of Evansville's most beautiful historical properties. The food tasted home-cooked and when I visit, I've never had the same meal twice. They have a good variety and I've only heard praises about the food from my parents! As I stated above, the staff that cares for my parents are constantly trying to find new ways to help out. Whether it's a quick laugh or stopping in for a story, they have made us feel right at home. Without stating numbers, I can say I was pleasantly surprised when we got down to it. Everything was straight forward and easy to understand. After researching all of the places in Evansville I found their prices to be about the middle of the pack, maybe a little below. Overall I happily give a 5-star review. Love is very apparent and they know what they are doing. I feel secure knowing mom and dad are living at Rathbone Retirement Community.
