Oakwood Village East Health and Rehab Center

Was in Oakwood Center in April and May. I was in for extensive rehab! The entire staff were excellent. Loved all the therapy individuals that made my stay more comforting and understood me. There was one particular nurse who actually looked out for me and one assistant behind desk that would sit/listen. There were MANY choices of activities and encouraged All residents to spend time outside of room to get to know a few people. I was youngest individual at time...so was at first intimidating. Staff made transition warming/comforting. Social worker was great! I even was able to leave center earlier than expected as they all believed in me during stay. Was allowed open pass to leave facility as to attend own church services (church pickup/drop off) as long as communication was open/honest. Only discrepancy was between director and ourselves upon entrance. That was immediately dealt with and rest of stay was of all expectations. Will be going back to visit! This facility goes directly by book and follows to a "T". If I had to go back and had to permanently stay...this place truly would be where I would stay until the end!
