Our family traveled from the DC area to Nashville for a family wedding. We knew our 93 year old mother would need short term (two days) help while we were in town. After contacting many local Nashville area Care Giver companies, I spoke with Shawna with Nurse Next Door Home Care Services. Whereas other services seemed very reluctant to work with us since we only needed two days of service, Shawna, right away was very helpful and understood our needs for a caregiver. The caregiver who assisted our mother for those two days was Mala. Mala was so fantastic that our mother repeatedly said she wanted to take her back to DC! Mala stayed with our mother the day before the wedding and the day of the wedding where she attended both the wedding and reception and escorted our mother. Mala not only tended to our mothers needs but treated her with compassion and as a companion. As an added bonus, Mala drove drove our mother to and from the wedding and reception which gave our mother the flexibility to decide when she was ready to leave. We can't say enough nice things about both of these ladies! Thank you Mala and Shawna for helping us to enjoy a beautiful wedding weekend!

We were visiting from out of town for a wedding and hired an aide from Nurse Next Door for our 94 year old mother. Mala was wonderful and was able to stay with our mother and assist with preparing lunch, bathing, and dressing while we ran errands and did wedding preparations. She also went to the wedding and reception and brought our mother back to the house a bit earlier in the evening than the wedding actually ended. As a caregiver, Mala was exceptional and very caring. She and our mom had a great rapport. She was able to anticipate all our mother's needs and clearly has "the touch" when working with the elderly.
