Kathleen Douris - Ms, Gnp

My Dad was coming out of the nursing home rehab, and he required more care when he came to live with our family. Ms. Douris was very compassionate and extremely knowledgeable about the medical conditions and helped me to organize his care and environment for safety. Examples: Ms. Douris reviewed all of his medications and told me when certain meds should be given and which must be given alone. She went to see him when he was in the hospital and helped me to understand what was going on with his care and advocated with the hospital staff for him in a way I had no ability or skills to do so. She gave good suggestions re getting a specific type of tub bench, which Dad is still using now, reducing his fear of bathing and falling. Dad was very calm and seemed to sense her kindness and caring.
