Interim HealthCare of Peoria, AZ

Like many aging parents, my mother did not want to move to an assisted living facility or have an aide come to her home, even though it was getting very close to time. We initially contacted Interim Healthcare to give her some additional assistance (3 days per week) while we were out of the country for several weeks. What a big relief it was to know that there was a reliable caregiver with her and to assist with the light chores, medication reminders, and to make sure there was edible food ready to be heated. Having someone available for shopping trips gave us peace of mind as well. To our surprise, when the discussion came up to end the service, my mother actually wanted to increase the number of days for her aide to come to her home. I believe it was the relationship and daily routine that she had become accustomed to was very important to her. The communication between both the main office and the on-site aide was top-notch. By keeping me informed of any concerns, we could work together to maintain my mother's situation and address new concerns. Our aide had several ideas on things like medication reminders and easy to fix meals which helped on days where there was no aide or family to assist. We were very fortunate to have found Interim Healthcare and the thoughtful way our needs were met.

This has been a great experience working with Interim over the last several months. They have always tried to accommodate me. The caregivers have been kind and friendly and efficient!

Our caregiver was a wonderful caretaker for my mother and father. She came over once a week for several hours. She would help prepare some meals for them do the laundry change the sheets, some light housekeeping, etc. a very nice personality. My dad really enjoyed her.

I think I said before that I never give the highest rating as there is always improvement to be made. Heimie was very personable and professional, I would make and exception and rate her five stars. Linda was a nice person but I question whether she was trained adequately. Her telephone was the most important thing. She moved my bottle of water from the cup holder so she could plug her phone in. Took her to lunch and she spent most of the time looking at her phone, we returned to my home and she rushed in to a chair and was on her phone again.

In the beginning, it was a deficit as they were sending different caregivers every week. However, I did get a new assigned caregiver that is more stable.

I absolutely love the girl that you sent me, she's amazing.
