Independence Home Care

Independence Home Care is one of NJ’s largest non-franchised home care providers. We do very little advertising because most of our referrals are word of mouth from our previous satisfied families or from respected medical professionals.

We truly pride ourselves on hard work, honesty, and ongoing communication. We are unique in the services we provide when compared to other franchised and big business organizations.

Independence Home Care was founded in 2010 by Teresa Sajkowski. Teresa, who is also fondly known by most as Terri has worked as a professional RN specializing in gerontology, home care, and hospice for over 15 years.

“After working for many years as a Hospice RN covering the entire state of NJ, I encountered numerous different home care agencies. I learned that by adding my nursing clinical expertise and spending time training and orienting the caregiver, the care my client received greatly improved. The caregiver also had improved confidence and job satisfaction. Let’s face it, having a caregiver is hard enough so making sure your have the right agency supporting you is paramount!”
