Humble Beginnings Personal Home Care is the brainchild of Olivia, a woman with a deep personal interest in the care of each of her clients. I was a friend of Olivia's when she started her business here in Cincinnati about 12 years ago. She named it "Personal" rather than "Home Health" Care because she wanted employees and clients to know the kind of care she would provide. About four years ago when her husband's job took him to Greensboro she also moved while maintaining a smaller office here. Then about 2 1/2 years ago my 80-year-old wife became quite ill and bed-ridden. I found myself in the role of caregiver. After a couple weeks, I called Olivia and cried "help!" She arranged for me to interview three aides, all of whom I liked. Almost immediately I had the help I so needed. All of the people from Humble Beginnings Personal Home Care were wonderful. They assisted my wife with personal hygiene care--toilet, washing up and grooming. They oversaw her bed exercises, medication reminders, prepared tasty meals (sometimes for both of us) did laundry, light housekeeping and occasionally ran errands for us. What a blessing Humble Beginnings Personal Home Care was for us!
