Nearly 30 years ago, Don and his sister Lola lost their father to cancer. During that stressful time, the family received caring support from Hospice, a brand new organization at that time. Years later when Homewatch CareGivers International introduced the opportunity to become franchise partners, they realized that home care has a very similar objective - to care for seniors and others who need home care.
We find the Homewatch CareGivers' Mission Statement, "to preserve dignity, protect independence, and provide peace of mind to our clients and their loved ones by providing exceptional home care," to be consistent with our own. Helping individuals to be happy, safe and as independent as possible is a goal that anyone can buy into enthusiastically. What could be a worthier objective than to provide support for a senior so she or he can have a better quality of life?
Our caregivers share this same attitude toward the people they care for. Many could be doing other things that would be more financially rewarding, but they find personal satisfaction in making things better for the people they are helping.
