Homewatch Caregivers of Folsom is a family-owned and operated business by Ron and Jamie Rivera. Jamie and Ron have over 50 years combined healthcare experience and have cared for their own family members to allow them to stay safe in their homes. They have been through the process of trying to find respite care and know the struggles families face when making the decision to bring someone in the home to care for their family.
Ron and Jamie are passionate about serving their community and caring for their clients as if they were their own family. They desire to extend their family to include their culturally diverse caregivers and those they care for in the community.
In Jamie’s own words, “We teach our caregivers about the Hawaiian word, Ohana, in our new employee orientation. Ohana means family. Ohana may be blood relatives, but Ohana can also be extended to others we care deeply for. In the Ohana culture, members have an obligation to act with respect and integrity. They mutually care for and support each other. This is the culture we want to develop for our work family and hope to extend to our clients.
What distinguishes them from others is that Jamie is a Registered Nurse. Jamie creates personalized care plans for every client and conducts all caregiver training. Additionally, they offer help with pet care, post procedure care tasks, transportation, and do not have hourly minimum requirements.
