Paul and Lori Hogan founded Home Instead, Inc. in 1994 in Omaha, Nebraska. Paul's own family experience caring for his grandmother led him to realize many families could use the help of an in-home caregiver. He and Lori set about creating a company to help seniors to live independently at home. That mission still drives the company and its franchise network today.
Home Instead, Inc. began franchising in 1995. Today, the Home Instead® network has grown to include more than 1,200 franchises around the world. While our franchise network is international, our office is local. And to us, home care is personal.

The office staff at Home Instead are professional, accessible, and knowledgeable. They went the extra mile to support us as we went through the difficult process of starting the service. My parents were extremely resistant to care in the home, although they needed it desperately. The office staff invested time in understanding the situation and being there with the caregivers to insure a smooth start. After that, we were amazed at the quality of the caregivers themselves. They are well-trained, extremely responsive to my parents' needs and great at problem-solving. We have been receiving service for 10 hours/day for almost four months and my parents love their caregivers. Home Instead has been a huge blessing to my whole family.

Home Instead cared for my mother who was diagnosed with dementia. They came to my home quickly to set up care for mom. The caregiver was kind, experienced and compassionate to mom. It was nice to know that she was receiving excellent care while I was at work. When needed I would call the office and ask for overnight shifts and they were always friendly and accommodating. We had other agencies and Home Instead is by far the best. I am very grateful for their kindness to my mother and for the excellent care they provided. Thank you!

My mom had Hip Replacement Surgery and then 2 days later ended up in St. Luke's Hospital with the Flu. I live in Texas and I was stressed until I found Home Instead. Tammy is my mom's care giver and she was an Angel. I spoke with Jennifer & Krista in the office and they helped me with a home care plan for my mom.
