We are Wayne and Kelly Hadley, the proud owners of Home Helpers & Direct Link of The Treasure Coast! We have over 20 + years of combined experience in the healthcare industry.

Prior to owning and operating Home Helpers and Direct Link, we both had extensive experience in healthcare. Locally, Wayne has worked as a Registered Nurse at St. Lucie Medical Center and Martin Health System in the positions of Emergency Department R.N, Charge Nurse and Clinical Coordinator. Kelly being a Registered Physical Therapist was employed as Director for outpatient Physical Therapy clinics. She then expanded her experiences to include employment as a P.T. in the home health setting as there is such a great need for this in Florida.

During our employment as licensed health care providers, we learned that there is a great need for quality home care services. While there are other providers of home health services, many are sub-contractors who are paired up with clients through Nursing Registries. The problem with these types of services is that these Registries simply act as “matchmakers” between the independent contractors and the clients. These Registries do not check the sub-contractors’ references, they don’t conduct criminal background checks or test for drugs or poor driving records. They also do not train or supervise the caregivers or provide substitute care if the caregiver is absent. These caregivers are not covered by liability insurance or worker’s compensation if there is an unfortunate accident.

Having serviced many seniors and clients with daily challenges, we were told numerous stories regarding theft, neglect or unreliability of caregivers. We also realized the difficulty in assisting loved ones who live in other States. Having lived and worked in the Treasure Coast for the past seven years, we have learned the needs of our community. By providing a Home Care Company that you can trust and rely on, we can fill those needs and can begin to make your life easier!

We decided to purchase the Home Helpers and Direct Link franchise since they have been a leader in home care services since 1997. Home Helpers & Direct Link has been supporting clients in more than 600 communities across North America for over 15 years. We also offer a line of products that utilizes blue tooth technology to keep clients in their homes safely. These include:

• PERS (personal emergency response systems)
• Vital sign monitoring (unit type depends on the client’s medical diagnoses and/or risks)
• Medication dispenser (automated and monitored 24/7)

These devices are set up by our staff and allow clients to be monitored directly by their Physician in the comfort of home. These products can greatly reduce hospitalizations and allow clients to remain independent at home.

We are also in the process of obtaining our license to become a Home health Agency which will allow us to offer personal care, Nursing Services and Therapies (Physical, Occupational and Speech).
