I contacted Home Care Advantage and set an in-person appointment with a Client Care Manager to meet my mother (for whom we were looking for a caregiver), as well as my sister and myself. My sister and I were impressed with the Client Care Manager – she spent about 90 minutes with us, had great questions and suggestions. I gave the Client Care Manager a detailed document on the care my mother required, that included taking medication, overseeing eye drops and meals. The Client Care Manager asked that I e-mail that document for which I did. Red flags were shown when I sent the contract and my credit card info. Once that was provided, the Client Care Manager stopped being pro-active in communication. When I did get a caregiver for my mom, no one had provided the caregiver with any instructions on the care my mom required.
