Highland Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center

Not sure what the previous reviewer was talking about, but feel the need to put our own review in because both my 98 year old mom and her children highly recommend Highland Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center (2.5 month stay so far) for both the subacute/chronic rehabilitation and extended care; impressed with the expertise, attention to care, rehab, overall case management, and physical conditions at this facility. Staff at all levels appear to be well-trained, with processes for communication with physical therapy, family, medical team, and safety. Activities and social opportunities are a strong emphasis. All areas are exceedingly clean, with close attention to hygiene. The dietary team is also excellent and the food is not only healthy, but great-tasting. Indeed, it was my mother's decision to remain here for long-term care after rehab, rather than return to her previous (also wonderful) assisted living home.
