Hello, my name is Frank Pettinaro. My wife, Mary, and I are the proud independent owners and operators of Griswold Home Care of Rochester, NY. We are lifelong Rochesterians with deeply rooted family ties here. All of our educational, cultural and professional development has been nurtured and shaped by the Greater Rochester area. We have two adult children who also reside here.

I have been blessed throughout my career to have attained and experienced a variety of roles ranging from engineering disciplines with a local fortune 500 company to executive/leadership responsibilities in the healthcare industry. These roles have inpired in me a deep understanding and ability to provide and satisfy clients. My wife worked for Eastman Kodak Company for 26 years and is currently a Systems Administrator at the Graduate Medical Education Office at the University Of Rochester.

Additionally, Mary and I are passionate in volunteering our services to our community. Mary co-founded a grassroots, non-profit organization called the Pancreatic Cancer Association of Western NY, after the loss of a family member to this devastating disease. The association which has raised over $250,000 in 5 years. In 2014, the money raised by this foundation resulted in a $2 million dollar federal grant awarded to the Wilmot Cancer Center of the University of Rochester for research. Mary also volunteers her time monthly at Journey Home, a hospice center in Greece, NY, as a caregiver to residents there.

In my volunteer efforts, I serve as the Chairman of The Michael F. Contestabile Annual Memorial Golf Tournament, which has raised $56,000 in 5 years, all of which has also been donated to the Wilmot Cancer Center to aid in Pancreatic Cancer research and early detection.

Because of our personal experiences with our own elderly parents Mary and I understand your concerns about the quality and experience of the caregivers we refer to you or a loved one. We have experienced the daily struggle to keep them safe and independent. From our personal experience, we know about the stress and concern it can cause for the entire family to have a non-family member become the caregiver for you or a loved one. To that end, we always ask, “would we want this caregiver to care for our mothers and loved ones?” In addition we provide the CareAssure Screening System where only 5% of the caregivers screened are listed on our registry for referrals.
