Good Shepherd & Peace Manor

I moved into a one bedroom apartment at the end of July. My apartment is different from some others and I like it a lot. It isn’t huge, but it is very well laid out and maximizes space. It’s also bright and airy. I love my kitchen. It’s large for this size apartment. I enjoy looking out on the courtyard, and my utilities-included rent that is one third of my income. I like having the laundry and the trash chute just down the hall. I appreciate having indoor mailboxes and the locked entrance. I would recommend Good Shepherd & Peace Manor. I appreciate our service coordinator, Crystal, who makes sure we know about all the local food pantries and schedules things to do with health, etc. She is also a SHIP counselor who can help with Medicare, etc. In addition, she makes sure we know about all the activities around the building. We have residents who willingly volunteer here at various things, and they incorporate new residents well. I am very thankful also that this is independent living in a reasonably small town with a lot of things to do within four miles, including a very nice library. The safety drills are needed, but annoying. Thanks to our manager and all who make this place work!
