I have used FirstLight off and on for the past several years. First with my mother, then my husband, and most recently, myself. I'm alone now, and when I fell and broke my arm, I needed help to shower, dress, and get to doctor and physical therapy appointments. They always responded quickly to my needs and requests, even when there were last-minute changes to my therapy schedule. They never let me down. Let me repeat that - they NEVER let me down. I can't express how grateful I am for their help, understanding, and services. I have already recommended them to friends who needed help. Rest assured that I will always use these people in the future.

Working with First Light was a very good experience. The caregivers are excellent and caring. The office staff is very friendly, capable and quickly responsive to any questions or inquiries.

My brother, sister and I used FirstLight Home Care from May through September. They worked with the three of us to provide 24/7 care for our 89 year old mother dealing with dementia and a torn meniscus. The previous summer, we interviewed several companies; FirstLight ended up as our first choice (they were recommended by a good friend who used them to take care of her father). Over and above the typical things one wants in a home care enterprise, we liked the caregivers' electronic check in/out process and the use of a portal which allowed us to see mom's caregiver schedule and provided the caregivers with pertinent information about our mother. Unlike the others interviewed, they were willing to keep us active in their records at no cost until we needed them. We found FirstLight Home Care to be conscientious about mom's needs. With her dementia, she needed constant queuing to remind her to do things or make decisions in order to maintain a consistent, healthy, safe routine. She also required some general assistance like plating & heating meals , using a heating pad, and working the TV. FirstLight was excellent in providing caregivers that interacted well with our mother, making it enjoyable for her. This was very important to us from a social aspect. We had input on caregiver selection. There was no time when mom was left alone due to personnel arrival/departure timing. Both the caregivers and the administrative staff were very professional and friendly.

I just wanted to pass along how impressed I am with caregivers that have been to my home in the past few months. From these caregivers to schedulers, to nurses, everyone I have had contact with from FirstLight HomeCare has been great. Whether it's making meals, cleaning, listening to a ballgame, putting up with my music on Fridays, or just providing companion care, each representative has gone above and beyond with their tasks. Never in my wildest dreams did I think that I would need someone to assist me on a daily basis. I have always been the type of guy that wants to do things by myself and I still do, but your caregivers have made it easier for me to relinquish some of that control. I feel like I have met every one of the caregivers from the Newark Office and each one of them has helped me in their own way. I am thankful for the service you provide. I can’t imagine what it takes to go to a strange environment like someone's home and put their mind at ease. I am proud to call each one of these ladies and gentlemen that have been to my home a friend. I want to say thank you for making my spring and fall safer and more relaxing to me and my wife.

Our experience with FirstLight HomeCare was beyond amazing! We needed a caregiver to assist us with an elderly relative, staying in our home, following a quadruple bypass surgery. Marianne worked with us (in the hospital) to make an initial assessment of what we needed and worked to place the right caregivers in our home to meet our needs. FirstLight provided us with friendly, knowledgeable caregivers that knew just what to do because we did not! They assisted us with companionship, giving medications, meal preparation, showers/hygiene and even laundry. We used FirstLight for approximately 5 weeks. Over this period, we had consistent caregivers who knew us and our relative. These caregivers were always on time, friendly and compassionate. Marianne always came to our house to introduce each new caregiver that was in our scheduled rotation. This level of customer service was something I truly appreciate and value. I would highly recommend FirstLight to anyone who needs assistance in their home. This team is top notch! P.S. Our elderly relative has recovered and is now leading a full and active life!

We were very happy with the care our father received. FirstLight HomeCare of Dublin did a great job matching up our dad with the perfect caregiver. The caregiver was reliable, caring and very compassionate and kept Dad active in his final months. He loved his job and it showed! He became like a part of our family!
