Encompass Home Health of Central Texas

We had a wonderful experience with Encompass Home Health for both my parents. They gave us informative updates concerning their health. Our family was at the nursing home a lot, so we witnessed most of the compassionate care given our parents. We were very skeptical when we were approached by the Encompass nurse concerning putting our parents on hospice. We resisted because of the incorrect information we had about hospice. It turned out to be a good decision to put them on hospice. The nurses asked us if we wanted certain medications to not be given. If we said "do not stop this medication", they didn't. Hospice furnished many of the supplies our parent's needed. Our experience with Encompass Hospice was great. I believe it is key that the family be very involved and present to communicate with the nurses. They treated our parents with dignity and love. They became like family.
