Elk Run Assisted Living Community

My aunt was a resident there from June of 2014 till March of 2018. Living in Hawaii it was difficult to monitor her care and I was confident that she was receiving the finest in care. I found it necessary to move her to Life Care due to her current condition. In closing her apartment I found a large needlepoint picture missing and a family heirloom quilt also missing. When I asked and kept asking, I had no response from Elk Run which was disappointing. What was also disappointing was that I was being charged $35.00 a month for a phone when one was not hooked up. Unless you are there to monitor your loved ones, I would suggest you NOT ut anything of value in their apartment. Also be aware of extra charges. I was paying to have my aunt's hair cut monthly. I then received a bill for a facial! In my families case, we lost an heirloom that cannot be replaced and have had no response from Elk Run.
