Comfort Keepers of Fredericksburg, VA

Do not use this company. It may seem like nothing, but they overcharged me for about an hour of service. The carer was great, but put in an inaccurate end time. I called the company and was promised a return call from "Tara" to resolve the issue. It's been 2 weeks. Sadly, these days, to get companies to do the right thing, you have to resort to social media. If you want fair charges for service - call a different company.

Our caregiver from Comfort Keepers of Fredericksburg, Irene, has been with us now for over two and a half years. She comes three days a week to care for my mother-in-law, who has Alzheimer's and cannot be left alone. Irene comes with such a cheerful attitude and helping hand. Her greeting always signals happy smiles in my mother-in-law and a sigh of relief in me. No matter what is going on, Irene encourages me to let her take care of it and to go, and have a great time! She seems to know that she is caring for my husband and me as well as my mother-in-law. When new issues come up in her care, Irene brings her knowledge, experience, creativity and love to the situation, and helps us find solutions that may never have occurred to us. I always return to find her well and happy. Often I am greeted by laughter as I walk in the door. Irene helps with lots of bed-changing and laundry, prepares meals, exercises with my mother-in-law when appropriate and takes her to the hairdresser and on drives around town. She does all the things one might expect of a caregiver. But she does it with such genuine love and joy! She is a positive influence on all in the family.

Our caregiver from Comfort Keepers of Fredericksburg is positive, caring, pleasant and personable. She has a comforting, calm, gentle, sweet demeanor. She wants Mom to be happy, and is sensitive to her needs. She enjoys Mom's cat with her. She also does extra things that are important to Mom, even though it is not expected of her. She pitches in to do extra when necessary, even at her own inconvenience. We are pleased to have Comfort Keepers taking care of Mom.

My father was hospitalized in October for three weeks. When he was discharged I did not feel comfortable with him returning to his home to live alone. My father insisted that he wanted to live in his home for as long as possible. Me and my husband have two children and have very busy lives and were unable to take care of all of my fathers needs. I turned to Comfort Keepers of Fredericksburg when they were recommended to me. After our initial meeting, we agreed on 8 hours per week to start. Micke has been helping my dad out ever since. Micke's help has been a godsend to us. She does a great job with all the house work that needs to be done and weekly grocery shopping.

Our caregiver from Comfort Keepers of Fredericksburg is excellent. She is always concerned about Mom's comfort and happiness. She cooks meals that Mom likes and that are consistent with her dietary restrictions. She is especially adept at convincing Mom to do things that she does not feel like doing, but that she needs to do. She also communicates and problem solves well with others. She maintains a calm, professional demeanor in all situations. She takes responsibility to cook and clean beyond what is expected and without being asked. We are indeed very fortunate to have Comfort Keepers.
