Caton Park Nursing Home

Caton Park Nursing home is a HORRIBLE place. Our family member was treated in the most inhumane way. He stayed for only 5 days and in those five days suffered horribly from lack of adequate care. He is now back in the hospital in ICU. On his last night there, he screamed in pain all night asking for help, the staff idea of giving him help was to close the door so as not to hear his screams. When the paramedics came for him the next day, they could not get a record of his vitals because the facilitity blood pressure device was not working. After several attempts, not only by the paramedics, but also by the nurse, as well as a gentleman in a white overcoat who was said to be a doctor, the paramedics had no choice but to wait until they got our family member into the ambulance to do his vitals. Not only is there neglectful care at this horror house, but it is quite understaffed. In addition, the place is badly in need of renovations. If I could post pictures here I would. The bathroom in the room where our family member was placed had an out of order sign taped to the door. I have a video of roaches crawling on the floor of the facility, this over $8,000 a month establishment. Also, incoming residents if there is a need have to wait days for a bedside commode, because as the administrator claims, they have to order it. The mattress on the bed was a mere sponge and the pillows were so bad, that we asked if they needed us to donate some pillows. ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE
