Brookdale Smithfield

Memory care floor was unacceptable. We paid for a shared room for our relative and he was treated second class to the resident already in the room. (IE: recliner pushed against the wall to the side of the TV while the other resident's recliner was right in front of the TV). They ordered thousands or dollars worth of medicine from their pharmacy when he arrived and they were told to use the VA. They lost his new hearing aids and teeth. Sent our relative to the hospital and then refused to take him back, they said he was being combative. They refused to refund the weeks we had already paid for and we requested a refund several times and was ignored. I would NOT recommend Brookdale for advanced memory care issues. I hope this review helps someone not make the same mistake our family made. We ended up finding a wonderful and caring place for our relative to live in the area.
