Who can be available? NJ Certified Home Health Aides/ Certified Nursing Assistants provide a variety of services within the home. Licensed Practical Nurses and Registered Nurses are able to administer medications and perform certain medical procedures, and can also be available. All private duty caregivers work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. The supervising nurse can be accessed 24 hours a day, by patients, families and caregivers.
What types of help is available? In a home setting, clients can expect to receive help with any personal hygiene and light housekeeping including: bathing, oral hygiene, dressing, changing linens, meal preparation, and other personal service.
We can also help our clients take their medication, ambulate, and exercise according to an established physicians plan, reporting client’s condition and changes to supervisory RN and doctor when necessary, taking and recording vitals signs as ordered, as well as transportation to and from medical appointments.
Each patient is evaluated by an RN or MSW to assure the right fit between the patient and caregiver. We check the home environment for safety, clinical needs, and placement of short and long term needs. Interviews and assessments can be done in the home or even before the client leaves the hospital. We can also make arrangements for physical, occupational, and speech therapy in your home, and certified Phlebotomists can be arranged for to perform in home blood draws. Our quality assurance program includes continued performance reviews of all private services to ensure high quality care for patient and family needs.
