Assisting Hands® of Bowie, owned by Tahira Goldson, and her Assisting Hands® Care Team provides professional in-home health care services allowing our clients to remain safely and comfortably in their own homes. Assisting Hands® can provide assistance in the privacy of their own home for you or a loved one. Our service plans are individualized to meet your need in Bowie and surrounding areas. We assist with the day-to-day activities such as Senior In-Home Care, Elderly Care Services, Peronal Care & Companion Services, Coordination of Care, and other additional services.

We will help you select the best matched caregiver from its pre-screened group of available assistants and can have qualified help placed in your home generally within 48 hours or less of the initial call. Our caregivers have training and experience in providing in-home care. They have successfully passed extensive background checks, as well as being insured, bonded, and trained in CPR and First Aid.

The founder of Assisting Hands Home Care® is Dr. Gail Silverstein, who has more than 25 years of experience coordinating and leading health care programs in both the public and private sector. It was Gail’s understanding of the health care industry, along with the personal experience of trying to find assistance for her father at home, that led her to realize there was a serious gap in services. Out of this need, Assisting Hands® was launched – to provide a better alternative for the elderly, disabled and others needing a little extra support and assistance to stay home!
