We used AH for four nights and five days for respite care when our family member needed help with multiple ADLs. Having used home health care in another state over a longer period of time, we knew how to research and interview and choose our company. Assisting Hands was far and above the most professional and responsive of the five services we interviewed. Brett Sanders and his nursing and administrative team were unfailingly concerned, careful, and involved which is why we ended up choosing his franchise. The company’s documents and clarity are fabulous. His responsiveness and planning for our needs was without peer. The caregiver match was excellent. The service was just exactly as we had contracted for and we had no worries at all. The home was in excellent shape upon our return and our family member had a pleasant time with the caregiver. Assisting Hands provided great care to my husband during the 9 days I was on a family trip in August. He has Parkinson's and is in an assisted living facility, but I wanted additional care as after a recent hospital stay he on occasion needed help eating. The caregiver provided was reliable, friendly, and good company for my husband. I will contact them again for future needs!

My wife and I were directed to Assisting Hands by a family friend and we were very pleased. Working with Brett, Jane, Eileen, and the rest of the team from Assisting Hands was great. One of my greatest concerns, based on interactions with a previous care provider, was lack of effective communication. I brought this up to Brett and his team during our initial meeting and he ensured me there would be plenty of communication. Brett and his team kept my wife and informed of all significant actions, and some not-so-significant actions, and it really put us at ease. Our previous care provider would often send me text messages asking how to do this or that for my mom. Assisting Hands, on the other hand, would provide me with notification when an important event like a doctor’s appointment had been completed. I was thoroughly impressed with the genuine care and the professionalism from the management team, and I was equally impressed with the caregiver Assisting Hands provided. As our business relationship with Assisting Hands concluded (mom moved into memory care) I made sure to relay to Brett and his that my wife and I couldn't thank them enough for coming to our rescue when we needed it most. Brett and his team allowed my wife and me some much needed relief. I recommend Brett and Assisting Hands to anyone in Northern Virginia area.

Although I am not a customer of Assisting Hands Home Care, I know the owner Brett personally and feel compelled to share about what a wonderful person he is. Brett and I are part of the same professional association. He is one of the most kind, caring, and thoughtful people I've met. I know that the passion, attention to detail, responsiveness, follow-through, and dedication I've observed is 100% reflective of how Brett interacts with his clients. Unfortunately, all of my family who requires in-home assistance lives out of state which is really tough because if they were local I would absolutely hire Brett's team. I've learned so much from Brett about what good in-home care should look like that I have been included on face-time interviews for potential caregivers for the family members referenced above and was able to help find the best care possible. The decision to hire a care-giver is so tough because you want someone who is compassion, knowledgeable, and that you can trust with your favorite people. Brett is absolutely that guy!
