Arbor Ridge to me is a good place to live. All things considered. People always make the place or break it. The director used to be excellent, but she took on another responsibility and lets others do what she used to do. It just isn’t the same as doing it yourself, she does not take an active part anymore and hardly ever speaks to a resident. Turnover here is very active which is uncomfortable. The caregiver staff now leaves a lot to be desired. It was fine when the director herself was more involved, but the people doing it now is different. The main concern is, it seems they don’t care who works here as long as they show up for their shift so she won’t have to work it. There used to be an excellent bunch of caregivers, but the good ones have moved on. There is one left who is excellent. She is in demand by everyone. It’s a pretty place, nicer than some, and there are a lot of activities for the residents. I have actually seen staff being mean to residents. Food is what you would expect from a facility like this somewhere between good and bad there could be some changes in that part of the operation. If you just need to get rid of someone, this is as good as any.
