We are a non-medical, in-home care provider who offers resources and solutions to guide and support families every step of the way. With today’s technology and advancements in health care, people are living considerably longer than previous generations. While that’s welcoming news to most, it does bring attention to the increasing challenges seniors and their families face in making educated choices to find what best fits their needs later in life. Our local company is committed to helping provide much needed guidance.
We proudly support families thoughout Berkley, Charleston, and Dorchester counties including: Charleston, Summerville, Goose Creek, Moncks Corner, Hanahan, Ladson, Cainhoy, Mount Pleasant, Daniels Island, North Charleston, West Ashley, James Island, Johns Island, Kiawah Island, Seabrook Island, Sullivan’s Island, and Isle of Palms.
While being non-medical, Amada provides much needed services for seniors and their families at a stage in life where they need assistance with basic daily needs. Whether it’s getting someone up and going in the morning, preparing meals, taking them to appointments, we can help. With intensely vetted resources, Amada takes the anxiety and frustration out of finding what will be most beneficial to those in need, whether it’s in-home care, assisted living, or senior care financial counseling.
At Amada Senior Care of South Carolina Coastal, our commitment to the families we serve is twofold. First, we promise to care for your senior loved one as though he or she were a member of our own family. Second, we promise to help you and your family explore and understand every senior care option available to you, and to support you throughout your senior care experience—because we care about you as a member of our family, too.
Owners, Cheryl Etheridge and David Lewis, are cousins who have both experienced a need for guidance in providing senior care for their loved ones and want to help others facing that same challenge. We consider ourselves ‘aging-in-place’ specialist and most people want to be at home, living as independently as they can and with dignity. We help you and your loved one them do just that.
It is a result of our experiences finding senior care for their loved ones that Cheryl and David have become uniquely well-qualified to help families through the same process. David and Cheryl had to learn about resources, ways to pay for care, senior housing, and in-home care the hard way, but they want people to know it doesn’t need to be that way.
Acting as consultants and providers of in-home care services, Amada helps take the edge off aging. The first thing we do is meet with you to help determine what you and your loved ones need. We try to answer the question of where are you now and how can we help. Familes often wait until there’s a crisis to prepare, and we can help families make those tough decisions now.
At Amada Senior Care of South Carolina Coastal, we know how important it is for families to feel confident that a beloved senior is in the very best hands. We understand that people want to know that their loved one is not only safe and comfortable but that his or her life is being enriched daily. Our Amada Caregivers are trained to provide assistance to our clients in the comfort of their homes with activities of daily living.
At Amada we look for ways to make simple, everyday tasks special. Amada’s in-home caregivers not only take care of daily essentials like cooking and cleaning, they also go above and beyond to make their clients smile. We know in-home care isn’t just about performing tasks on a to-do list. It can be hard for seniors to accept new limitations and open their home up to a stranger. Our caregivers understand that it’s essential to show compassion and really connect with their clients to make the changes easier.
