Amada Senior Care sets the standard for skilled, non-medical, and medical, in-home senior care. Dedicated to providing personalized and compassionate in-home care to Louisville-area seniors and their loved ones, the owners of Amada Senior Care Greater Louisville, James Bernoski, RN, and DR Salerno, rely on their experience running other successful Amada offices to provide high-quality care to Jefferson County and surrounding area neighborhood seniors.
Amada Senior Care Louisville in-home care areas include Cherokee-Seneca, Belknap, and Highlands — home to such legacy establishments as Louisville Slugger, Churchill Downs, and the Kentucky Derby Museum. Whether they’re sipping a mint julep at Waterfront Park or getting their passport stamped along the Bourbon Trail, our senior clients in communities such as Bonnycastle, Cherokee Triangle, Deer Park, Crescent Hill, and Clifton Heights receive compassionate and personalized care services.
Shepherdsville and Mount Washington in Bullitt County also sit within Amada Senior Care Louisville’s service area, as does Oldham County, Kentucky — a peaceful, rural county with an abundance of horse farms. Our Amada Louisville team members work to ensure our senior clients receive the assistance they need with activities of daily living (ADLs) to help with aging in place, whether in a country setting somewhere in Shelby County or in a town like La Grange, Goshen, River Bluff, Shelbyville, or Simpsonville. No matter where our in-home senior care clients and their loved ones live, we want Kentuckians of every age to know they can depend on Amada to provide exceptional care — not only to our senior clients but also to people with disabilities or anyone in need of skilled, personalized home care.
As a registered nurse with experience in critical care settings, James truly understands the gaps that exist in the senior care continuum. One of the most common and most concerning care gaps occurs when a senior patient leaves a facility to return home. “Family members don’t know who to contact,” says James. “Mom and Dad may still need help, but there aren’t many resources available to help them.”
James and DR share similar histories of family care and respect for elders. Both are proud of Amada Louisville staff’s expertise and unique qualifications that allow them to provide the highest-quality home care for senior clients. Says DR, “From my grandfather, who was diagnosed with Parkinson’s, I learned the importance of providing care for family, taking care of your own, and being there when a loved one needs you. At Amada Senior Care of Greater Louisville, we help families through the entire care process.”
