Late last year it became apparent that the care of my 91 year old widowed sister was taking a physical and emotional toll on myself and my wife. We had no idea where to turn for help. Luckily we were referred to a caregivers support group. In our first meeting the overriding response was call Aging Wisely with Heartfelt Hands in Newport. The result was an almost immediate interview in my sisters home and a plan to bring in caregivers a couple hours a day and add or adjust services over time. They visited and shared, did chores and maintenance, including laundry and linen change once a week, and left no doubt in our minds that they were there for my sister's comfort - and our relief. A big comfort was that they made sure before they left in the evenings that she ate her Meals on Wheels dinner. Early on, they reminded my sister, at meal time, to take her medication which we prepackaged. Professional, friendly and caring, and experienced. Highest marks on all levels. My sister has since been relocated to an assisted living home which is working out fine. And, she has been visited by several of the angels who had cared for her in her home. When the time comes for my wife or myself, we have no hesitation to callings Aging Wisely with Heartfelt Hands to help with our needs.
