My youngest brother was very sick and the end was getting near. He did not like being at a nursing home. He complained about the 24/7 noise, dirty, felt like no one cared, and the caregivers were rude. We found Mission House and the moment I walked in to the front room, I knew this was the place I wanted my brother to spend the rest of his days. The common area felt very homey, it was well furnished, clean, light and airy, pleasant, everything was remodeled and very modern, inviting, and most of all the caregivers were so welcoming. My brother moved in that same afternoon. His room was cozy, clean, modern, nicely decorated, the bed didn't look like a hospital bed (even though it has all the necessary amenities). The bed sheets, pillows and blankets were something you would have at home and not at the hospital. Sliding glass door from his room leading to the backyard and to the patio was well landscaped, private, and serene. It was quiet and extremely clean. The caregivers were extremely attentive to his needs as well as the family's needs. The common area was a great place for the family to gather around and talk rather than having to be in the patient room. My brother was there for a week before he passed. The caregivers were there around the clock to care for him. I know that my brother's last days at the Yesteryear House was most peaceful. My family and I are so grateful for the care they gave him. I would highly recommend.
