It's been a few years since my mother-in-law was in Wellington Oaks Nursing and Rehabilitation, but the care she received at this facility aided in her passing. Her MS was the main cause, but she had open wounds and maggots coming out of her wounds, as soon as we knew she was transported to the hospital for care and moved to a completely different place. It was so bad to the extent that we filed a lawsuit against them and won. They refused to give us her medical records, eventually the lawyer was able to get them. They head lady in charge yelled at me, my fiance, my brother-in-law, and father-in-law in her office when we went back to get her things. Her wedding ring was stolen during her stay there, as well as she wasn't getting the correct dosage of medication when she was supposed to. Half of the time not getting her pain medication, which we didn't know till looking at the medical records. The not getting pain medicine alone is a HUGE deal because she had multiple sclerosis and stayed in constant pain it wasn't but a couple months after leaving this facility that she passed. Under NO circumstances bring your family to this facility, EVER!
