Village At Alameda

Village at Alameda is in a good location with nice views for residents who like to walk around. Nice rooms with windows. There is weekly laundry assistance and apartment cleaning. Residents enjoy bingo, dominoes, crafts, musical entertainment, and group hymn singing on Sundays. The salad bar is a good addition to regular meals served. The staff is friendly and helpful, but a high degree of turnover among resident care staff which leads to frequent staff shortages. There is a lack of training for new care staff which compromises good care. The departing staff reluctantly shares information, but there is a feeling that management does not treat them well. It’s a good facility for residents who do not require much assistance from staff, but would think twice about coming here if you need a lot of assistance with bathing, dressing, transferring to a wheel chair, etc. Recently a couple of residents have fallen and staff have not responded in a timely fashion to the help button.
