Under its former name, Valley Oaks opened its doors in 1967 and as a central part of the Conejo Valley, we have made it a priority to preserve history and secure the future of the residents in our area. We have preserved the resting places of 29 Conejo Valley pioneer residents that were relocated from a blighted cemetery to their current home at Pierce Brothers Valley Oaks.
Pierce Brothers Valley Oaks has many amenities unique to our location. We offer convenience to those we serve by having a mortuary and a cemetery in the same location and we are proud to say that we are one of the few locations in this area to own our own crematory. Each family we serve is invited to attend complimentary group grief counseling sessions which are held year-round to learn how to move past the grief of loss. When entering the lobby, you are greeted by our compassionate concierge who will invite you for coffee, tea, water and treats. We recently remodeled part of our building to include a therapeutic grief library, a peaceful room from which to choose from our complimentary grief management literature, CDs and DVDs.
Outstanding beauty within our varied sections is what sets Pierce Brothers Valley Oaks apart from other memorial parks and cemeteries. Serving all faiths and sectors of the community, we offer various gardens such as the Court of St. Peter for our Catholic families, Beth Olam for our Jewish families and the Garden of Valor for public servants. Water is a feature used throughout the park. The crowning feature of our premier garden, the Garden of Tranqulity, is a meandering creek. We just opened a brand new section for families choosing cremation called Garden of Reflections II. Garden of Reflections I and II are accented by beautiful cascading waterfalls. We offer many unique inurnment options within our cremation gardens. Private estate gardens and private mausoleums allow a family to customize a final resting place for the entire family unit.
The staff at Pierce Brothers Valley Oaks has hundreds of years of experience, combined. The culture of this location yields a highly knowledgeable and compassionate family of associates eager to help you say goodbye to your loved one in the exact way you envision. Whether traditional or increasingly creative, we are building celebrations that leave a lasting and healing impression on the families we serve and the guests we host. We are the leader in providing unmatched services to those in need and to building lasting relationships with those we have the honor of guiding through what is often the most difficult time in their life.
