Much better options for memory care are available for a similar price, and I would urge you to look around. My experience of Sunrise of Edina memory care was that the space is noisy, overly warm, dark, crowded, worn, and feels chaotic. The TV is on most of the time and when it's not, there scratchy music playing on a cheap CD player. The door is locked in a way that feels like a jail. Some of the caregivers are excellent, but they are asked to do too much. It seems like residents are overly medicated -- I know my loved one was. She hated the experience and went downhill rapidly during the time spent there. I'm glad if other people had better experiences, but again, I would urge you to look at other memory care facilities.
