The high level of personalized care, the comfortable home-like atmosphere and the social activities based on a seniors personal wants and abilities made a residential type care home the obvious choice.
Like many of you, we were shocked at the costs and environments of some of the care facilities that we had visited. We knew that we could do better. We could, for the same costs, provide an enhanced, more luxurious environment that would satisfy even the most discerning senior. As empty nesters, we looked at the size of the main home on our estate and realized that 4600 sq ft was too much for us, but perfect for a world class Adult Care Home.
We have another residence on the estate for us, so we remodeled the main house and created a top level, luxurious Adult Care Home where Mom and four other seniors could live.
We were so blessed to find Lori Siebern and her husband Erich, our live-in licensee/provider team. Lori’s lifelong passion for caring for the elderly brings over 15 years of experience to Serenity Valley. She has created an environment where you or your loved one can live in luxury with choices, independence, dignity and safety. You will be comforted in knowing that Lori strives to offer an intimate, caring environment where seniors become like family, establishing strong bonds with caregivers and other residents.
An amazing chef, she has developed a menu of the finest foods geared towards senior’s nutritional needs. Her monthly “picnics” on the large covered deck are an anticipated treat during the summer months. Of course, guests are invited!
Serenity Valley Adult Care Home sits on over 40 rolling, riverfront acres of manicured lawn with beautiful, sweeping 270-degree views of the glittering lights of Portland’s west hills. Also in sight are Mt. St Helens, Mt Hood and Mt Adams. Close to five miles of groomed walking paths allow freedom and exercise with complete safety. Gardening, fishing in the river and watching the abundant wildlife are favorite pastimes.
The large main house has been recently remodeled to provide private baths and extra wide doors to accommodate wheelchairs. An extra large no-transfer main bath was built for bathing. The views, granite counter tops and fireplace, stainless steel kitchen, hardwood floors, and 900 square foot covered outdoor deck make it truly a one of a kind home.
