Serenity Park 2 AFH

When my mother could no longer walk we had to find care for her. We placed her in Serenity Park and were originally very pleased. Rada, one of the owners, was sweet and intuitive and I had confidence in her ability to know my mother's needs. She and her husband lived in the adult family home, but were in the process of building a large home for themselves on the property. During this process we noticed caregivers coming and going at an alarming rate, and when they moved into their new home things rapidly went downhill. When I expressed concern about mom's care, they told me if I complained one more time, they would give me 15 days notice to move her (although the contract we signed required we give him 30 days notice). We found another home for her and after she was moved the nurse and doctor that examined her when she arrived were appalled at her condition, mostly due to poor hygiene. After our experience, I wouldn't leave an animal with these people, much less a loved one. All they cared about was money and they continued to raise the price even after we had agreed to having a cap at a given rate.
