Ashton Gables in Riverchase is an assisted living community that specializes in care for seniors with dementia, Alzheimer’s or other memory-related needs. We focus our care and support toward the unique needs of each resident.
Located in Hoover, Alabama, Ashton Gables in Riverchase also has accommodations for short-term stays for when caregivers need to go out of town or simply need a short break from the stresses of caregiving. We also offer hospice care so that our residents can remain in the same place while both they and their family receive comfort and care during such a difficult time.
Assisted living provides residents with supervision or assistance with the activities of daily life. Assisted living residents are those who do not need skilled nursing care, but may need assistance with some aspects of daily life.
This can include:
- coordination of services with outside health care providers
- monitoring of health, safety, and overall well-being
- assistance with medication
- meal preparation
- companionship
- and personal care such as dressing and grooming.
Our assisted living residents live in their own private residence within our community so that they have the support and services they need, while continuing to be as independent and active as possible.

Our approach to Alzheimer’s disease care is called Bridge to Rediscovery. This unique program, exclusive to Five Star Senior Living communities, includes helping each individual continue to engage in activities and with others at whatever level they are at that moment.
