This facility provides adequate care. At night, there is only one staff person on duty which is not enough if they are helping a resident with toileting and someone else needs them. There is an elevator to the second-floor rooms but there is no ramp to get into the building. This makes it hard to bring someone using a walker in and out of the building. They allow smoking on an outdoor porch which will only make someone's health worse. My parent's biggest complaint is the food. It's almost all processed food. Lunch is a larger hot meal but dinner is often sandwiches (one night it was baloney & cheese on white bread with potato chips). If your loved one is eating horribly at home (which was the case with my parent) it is better than that. The kitchen and facilities are immaculately clean. The staff have been very kind but there has been staff turnover this year. There are 3-4 core staff members who have been there for a long time and then turn over for 1-2 other positions. I think overall this is better than most facilities I visited. There are no outings and no transportation to medical appointments. Overall, I am happy with the facility but if I could afford to pay more I would try to find something better.
