Harmony House

I visited Harmony House in search of a memory care faciiity for a family member. I was surprised when I entered because the smell of the lobby was horrible. I was shown around by Paul. The smell continued throughout the 3 wings. As Paul showed me around, a lady resident came up wondering where her room was. He told her down the hall make a left & to her room number. The lady was scared, confused & lost. She left in search of her room. After about 5 minutes, the lady came back still unable to find her room. She told Paul again who gave her the same response as before. Shocked at Paul’s unhelpful & uncompassionate response, I asked the lady if I could help her find her room. She was sincere in her response, “could you please”. I guided the lady to her room which was locked. I then went down a few rooms to find someone to help her into her room. The women in the staff room a few doors down were unhelpful & rolled their eyes. I went back to where I had left Paul who was waiting for me. There was no way I could ever put a family member in that uncooperative uncaring place. There was no compassion from any employee except the woman who sat at the reception desk in the lobby. If you’re looking for a place, move on. I found a MUCH better place that was clean, compassionate, odorless & helpful plus it was the same price as Harmony House. I do not recommend this facility.
