Getz Personal Care Home Inc

Getz Personal Care Home had a lovely home-like atmosphere. Beautiful furnishings and lighting, pretty decor, including a fish tank. Many patio and porch areas with nice chairs and tables, plus a gazebo. Lots of indoor spaces to relax, watch TV or make a phone call on the house phone. I was visiting my elderly Aunt who has only been there for a couple of weeks. When she went for lunch, it was a cheerful area with music playing, pretty ceiling lights, real china and it looked like home cooked food. The staff was very friendly and they all knew who my Aunt was. I went into the kitchen, and was welcomed to look around. The bathrooms were very clean and spacious. The residents were doing crafts when I was visiting, but I do not know anything about their activities or outings. I was happy to see that the home is on a main road, and not stuck back in the woods. There is not a store to walk to, but at least the residents don't feel like they are totally out of touch with the world. All in all, not like the usual, impersonal institutions that have a certain look and odor. I would highly recommend them!
