Covenant Hospice, Inc

Covenant Hospice came to us while my mother was in Sacred Heart hospital, we didn't go looking for them. This organization seriously needs to train their employees on the services offered to the elderly before meeting with families. My mother was promised hospice care and that when her needs increased and were sure her time was near, she would be placed at either Sacred Heart or West Florida in the hospice care. We called hospice several times and we were told none of that was true. To make a long story short, my mother passed away knowing that hospice failed her. My mother's body gave out but she was still very much in her right mind. Hospice didn't deliver any of the comforts my mother was promised on her death bed. She died in a nursing home that isn't equipped for families to come stay with dying loved ones. I would have loved to been there with my mom in her passing or for anyone to have been there with her. Don't search out people and promise them comfort in their last days and then not deliver it, that's cruel.
