I am a past client

Community Hospice of Texas are the absolute WORST "Hospice" I have ever seen in my life. They are only about money... in my opinion. My daddy was ordered and approved for 24/7 "Ongoing and continuous care". Well to make a long and truly painful story short, I received a call from Shelley the RN who oversaw my Dad's case, I received a call at 11:45pm on a stormy Saturday night, and she told me that "As of midnight, your Dad will no longer receive care from Community Hospice of Texas, so do not expect anyone to relieve the current caregiver". I was BEYOND SHOCKED AND ASKED "Why? What is going on, you told me yesterday that he was approved for 24-hour continuous care", she said the decision was made by Medical Director (who is no longer there). So, with no explanation, I had 15 minutes to find HELP, as my Dad had taken a turn for the worst that day. I had 3 small children to take care of and desperately needed help. I thank GOD for VITAS HOSPICE, for they came out and took over and were TRULY a God sent company that cares. So as far as Community Hospice goes, I beg you, don’t go anywhere near them if you truly want CARE for your loved one and for your loved one not to be ABANDONED like my Dad and I were!
