Collins-McKee-Stone Funeral Home was established in 1944, by W. A. Collins, Sr., and since that time has remained the pre-eminent funeral home in the Bassett area. The modern facility, designed specifically as a funeral home, was built in 1978 by W. A. Collins, Jr., who continued in the family tradition of serving all families in their time of greatest need.
Today, funeral arrangements are as individual as the persons for whom they are made, and the funeral directors at Collins-McKee-Stone Funeral Home take great pride in their ability to honor the wishes of each family. The highly experienced staff is qualified to arrange all types of funeral services from direct cremations to the most elaborate celebrations of life. The facility is capable of hosting a large number of guests, and special gatherings, such as catered receptions, before or after a service, can be arranged.
A modern, state-of –the-art selection room allows families to make necessary choices in an organized, non-intimidating atmosphere, guided throughout by a compassionate funeral professional. We offer products and services to fit any family's desire and budget. There you will also find examples of flower arrangements and monuments, which the staff will gladly assist you in designing and ordering. We can arrange a service with full military honors, supply a U.S. flag, branch of service flag, and the veteran's marker. Religious-specific services, as well as lodge, order or fraternal services are also available.
