Brookdale Pointe West

Worst place to work. The co-workers are messy and lazy. The dining services are nasty. Workers come to work drunk and they know about it and sweep it under the rug. No one takes the blame for anything! There is always suppose to be 2 people in the building and there was a time a nurse knowingly left. There are some staff members that are always on a cigarette break and do not perform their job as their title defines. I've also witnessed CNAs neglecting their job duties. Would recommend researching other options.

I wish I could give a negative rating, they don't deserve 1 star. This place looks great when you walk in, but beware of leaving your loved one here! They don't change their depends, Every time I went in to check on my mom her depend weighed 10 pounds, guess thats why she had such a bad UTI it turned septis. O, not to mention that after I had been out of town for a trip only to return to my mom smelling so badly, I ask a nurse to check her chart to tell me when she was showered last...12 days!!! Many times I was in and her sheets smelled liked urine, I took them home with me to clean after that happening to many times. I only left my mom in here 2 months, that was 2 months to long. She passed away 2 weeks after I got her home. I regret so much every putting her in here!

I went into Brookdale to see my friends from church and was verbally attacked by a person named Jennifer who screamed at me that I was lying about who I am? This person was very angry and very hostile. I would not want someone with that degree of emotional dysfunction anywhere near my own parents and now I worry for my friends. They are in a locked facility with someone unstable in charge. I worked for my friends for the last year as a home health aid and joined their church. Their son and I deliver bread for our church ministry, and he is being denied access to his parents who he cared for for 10 years.This is not acceptable service.

The staff at Brookdale Pointe West is trained to know exactly how to handle those with dementia . They are kind and patient. The building itself is beautiful, but the staff inside makes it feel like home. I cannot imagine my family placing our loved one anywhere else.
